Leanne is the principal of Flying Camel. She was one of the original partners who formed the agency in 1995, and sole owner since 2005. Leanne has guided the agency through significant growth, industry specialization, and rapid technological change. In addition to being a PR and Social Media specialist, she has managed hundreds of integrated marketing campaigns, locally and across North America. Leanne has a strong belief that public relations and marketing activities need to work seamlessly to build a solid, successful brand.
This East Coaster’s passion for public relations brought her to Toronto from New Brunswick. She comes to us with a diverse integrated background in areas including: Public Relations, Advertising, Social Media Engagement, Crisis Management, Corporate Communications, Event Management, Trade Show Communications, and Consumer Lifestyle Marketing. She’s worked with such brands as Mark Anthony, Moore’s Clothing for Men, National Home Show, Green Living Show, Booking.com and Unilever.
Kimberley brings her digital expertise to Flying Camel by way of New York City where she worked for clients such as General Mills and Hershey’s Kisses. Kimberley has been vital in building our social media practice and introducing top clients like KBIS and the NKBA to new levels of connectivity and online success.She creates campaigns that keep our clients at the leading edge of their industries while educating our clients on the digital trends that keep this job fresh and exciting.
Maricel joins Flying Camel with a lengthy agency background working on clients from a wide array of industries including home & decor, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, food & beverage and more. Several of the campaigns and programs she helped strategize have won industry awards. Maricel brings experience in public relations, social media engagement, crisis management, corporate communications, and event management to this new and exciting role. Raised in Toronto, when she isn’t working with her team to bring campaigns to life, you can find her buried in a book or writing up a storm.
With over 20 years of advertising and design experience, Lily combines strategic insights with a passion for integrated branding. For many years she was a fixture at one of Toronto’s most respected creative agencies, Cossette Communications. Lily has worked on a number of high profile accounts, including McDonald’s, Nike, Saab, Bank of Bermuda, and Procter & Gamble. Her work has been recognized both nationally and internationally at prestigious advertising award shows.
With two years of marketing communications and PR experience under her belt, Olivia brings her can-do attitude to Flying Camel across all accounts. From creating press releases and media lists to preparing monthly reports and social media content, Olivia’s supporting role is crucial to agency process and success. Olivia is a graduate of McMaster University and completed her post-graduate degree in Public Relations from Humber College.
Christine brings her passion for storytelling to Flying Camel as the agency’s Social Media Coordinator. On any given day, she can be found writing engaging copy for kitchen appliances, retail openings, or the latest in smart home technology. Christine graduated from Durham College with an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations. In her spare time she re-enacts all of her favourite Disney songs a little off key as a one woman show.
Shirley keeps all the creative types in the agency in check with her accounting and IT prowess. She works on project cost reconciliation for our clients, always ensuring we are within budget to meet all needs. As the master of multi-tasking, she can figure out any IT challenge she is presented with while ordering supplies, issuing payroll, calculating expenses and making sure we are popular with Revenue Canada. In her spare time, Shirley captures life beautifully as an amateur photographer.
